What a hard run

I would like to thank everyone for all of your support and encouragement; I really couldn't do it without you. I have come to the conclusion that I am a slow runner but I have decided my goal is to cross the finish line not to win the boilermaker (maybe next year). Every week that goes by I am a little bit closer to the 9 but we are still a ways away.

The run at SUNY is a tough one; I just wanted to throw in the towel. It was hard because I did so well on Monday and then tonight I really struggled. Thank you Kim, Anne, and Kim for hanging back and running with me it means a lot. Even though I know that the run at SUNY is hard I do know that it is a great training run and I will be there again with all of you on Saturday morning hopefully I will do better on Saturday. Mary thank you so much for the hat it definitely came in handy tonight!!!! Everyone on our TEAM (old and new) are so great - THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.

Tricia you did great! The inclines (so they call them!) are a bit challenging but you did awesome. And we are a team and don’t ever feel you are alone. I struggled on parts of the run tonight, but challenges are good. I keep thinking back to just about six months ago and how walking from one end of my house to the other took my breath away, and now I am running 3 miles. It just blows me away!
See you on Saturday!

Great job everyone on your mid week run!! Everyone came in under 38 minutes for 3 miles. That's an accomplishment. That was our longest run so far at SUNY IT this training season. Tricia you are doing a wonderful job so far in the training. You have come a long way since we started the program just a few weeks ago. Running takes time to figure out how to breathe properly so you are able to run farther distances. We will all have our good running days and our not so good running days as everyone is experiencing, even the experienced runners have these as well. This is very common in running. You just need to put that not so good run behind you and look forward to your next run, which all of you are doing. We'll be there for the next run to help you along that's what nice about this program. I myself last year did get very discouraged running but knowing that I was running on Wednesday and Saturday with the team, made me want to go to the mid weeks run for the encouragement and motivation. They knew that I could do it and now this year I know that each of you will do a great job as well. We are all here to help you with your journey. Thanks for everyone who came out on Wednesday to run with us. Ann, Kim and Mary you did a great job! See everyone on Saturday.
